Praise the Lord for 63 years of dedication and faithful service that Liangyou Station has been providing to the millions upon millions of people in China with the gospel message. Liangyou Station would not have been possible if it had not been for the dedication and faithfulness of His servants, people like you who are making sure each day that relevant programs are produced and aired, and that the various needs of the listeners are being met. By the grace of God, you have also been able to meet the challenges of this changing world head on and are able to share the love of God innovatively in this new era. Thank you for serving faithfully. A sincere congratulations! May the Lord continue to bless you with the insight that only He can give and bless all of our listeners so that anyone who hears will be drawn to His love and lives changed.
Blessings,
Carrie
Dear Sandra and all,
Thanks for highlighting tis date to us. We will actually celebrate Radio Liangyou's 63th anniversary ( FEBC's shortwave broadcast to China ) tomorrow. We will have a three hour live broadcast by shortwave produced in Hong Kong and beaming from the Bocaue transmitter site. Listeners from various provinces of China will join us in the celebration by call-ins in the program. Welcome to join us in prayers to give thanks to the Lord who has blessed the broadcast throughout the years!

Dear all
Dear all
July 29 marks an important day in FEBC’s history. That’s the date for FEBC’s first shortwave broadcast to China . Since it falls on a Sunday this year, I’m sending this early, in the event you’d like to share it with others.
The first shortwave broadcast went out from Manila on July 29, 1949 at 6:00 pm on 6030 kilocycles, 49 meters.
The first sound was a verse from “All Hail the Power of Jesus’s Name.”
Jim Bowman believes the song was sung in English, but the broadcasts that followed were in various languages, including Mandarin.
This broadcast fulfilled the first stage of FEBC’s vision for broadcasting to China , two months before the People’s Republic of China was declared, making it impossible to broadcast locally within the country.
What an amazing adventure FEBC has been on since that first broadcast!
God has brought us full circle.
