I read a book Beyond leadership : Balancing Economics,Ethics and Ecology
By Warren Bennis and Parikh J (Chinese translation)
In page 11 it mentions 7 key Gs that destroy this world's stability in the global trend.
Gaps (差距) --> Increasing Rich & Poor
Gulfs (差異) --> Language & Culture differences
Guilt (負疚) --> Privileged Classes' oppression of the unprivileged
Grudge (積怨) --> The resentments of the under-privileged
Greed (貪婪) --> The unscrupulous means of the merchants in interest gains
Glitches (干擾) --> Unanticipated factors in political life
Games (博弈) --> Politicians maximizing International problems for selfish gains
In the same vein, when I think of our church life and ministry, we might also have the above 7 G s in our wrongdoings that hinder the progress of His kingdom. (Phil 2:1-5 ; Gal 6:1-5)
Gaps --- in uneven spiritual growth among the body (靈程)
Gulfs --- in individual background and education levels (背景)
Guilt --- in offenses out of close interactions (傷痕)
Grudges --- in uneven bearing of ministry by a few (怨懟)
Greed --- in selfish gains and target setting in church planning (驕縱)
Glitches---in unexpected sinful acts of church leaders (醜聞)
Games ---in adopting political means instead of engaging in spiritual prayers (詐虞)
We can transform our ways through another 7 Gs
Gentleness -- Your gentleness make me great (溫和) Ps 18:35
Generosity -- In giving we acquire real joy (慷慨) Acts 20:35
Goodness -- Those peacemakers who are sons of God (良善) Mt 5:9
Gateway -- Be a pointer of the lost to His land (引路) Ja 5: 19-20
Guidepost -- Set the direction for others to follow (方位) Mk1:35-37
Gladness -- The joy of the Lord is our strength (喜樂) Neh 8:10
Gratitude -- This is the will of the one Who saves us (感恩) I Thesal 5:18
