二則禱告

來自《論上帝的觀看》的禱文 Nicolaus Cusanus （1401-1464）

" And what is my life, Lord, if not this wide embrace in which the sweet joy of your love embraces me so lovingly.

It is your seeing that makes alive, it is tasting your sweet love continously flow into me, and through this inflowing love to inflame my love for you, and through the inflaming to nourish, and through this nourishing to kindle my longing, and in the kindling to still myself with the dew of joy and in this way to let the source of life flow into me, and make this inflowing full and eternal."  （Hans Burki' translation）

尼古拉庫薩（1401-1464）       

「主阿，生命是甚麼，若非是你寬大的胸懷，讓我深感你愛意的甘甜與喜樂？

        透過凝望，使我滿有生氣;

        透過品嚐你源源不絕甜密的愛，燃點我對你的愛意；

        透過愛火燃點，我得著滋潤;

        透過滋潤，燃燒我對你的渴求;

        透過燃燒，使內心靜止，滿有如甘露的喜樂，而就是如此，

        容許生命的泉源在裡面湧流，一直湧流滿溢至永恆。」（胡志偉譯）

My Prayers 我的禱告           

My prayers, my God, flow from what I am not,

I think Thy answers make me what I am.

Like weary waves thought follows upon thought,

But the still depth beneath is all Thy own,

There Thou mov'st in paths to us unknown.

Out of strange strife Thy peace is strangely wrought;

我的神啊，我的禱告，非源於我；

我想是你的應允，造成今日的我。

思緒令人困乏，猶如波濤接踵而來，

全屬於你，在深處之下有靜寂，

就在那裏，你軌跡莫測高深。

從詭異衝突中，竟溢出意外的平安，

倘若我們內裏那獅子正禱告 －請你以羔羊來回應。
