「漸漸重生」

今早晨曦三老回答聽眾提問，遇上一個叫「漸漸重生」問題。期後我對有關此作出考究如下 :

中文書寫 :

加爾文 認為「悔改」就是「重生」與「成聖」，目的是恢復在人裡面原有的上帝形像。

這不是一時一刻或一年可達成，而 是一輩子不斷要做的事  (Ⅲ.3.8-14) 

英語原本 :

8. Repentance consists in the mortification of the flesh and the quickening of the Spirit. These required by the Prophets. They are explained separately.

9. How this mortification and quickening are produced. Repentance just a renewal of the divine image in us. Not completed in a moment, but extends to the last moment of life.

中文寫法 / 或聽眾提 / 教學老師用「重生」與英文有異。

按 mortification of the flesh 不能翻作「重生」，乃「克勝肉體」(治死肉體)。

因此按加爾文，"悔改" 乃 "克勝肉體" + "聖靈工作"。這他認為是一輩子事情。
按人經驗也如是，我們悔改，是天天悔改及一生進行，與「成聖」雷同。

但我們今天用重生乃 Regeneration，就不當有「漸漸重生」。

當然引來混亂有二因由 :一方如上述中文翻譯用字不準，另外早期加爾文實也把稱義及成聖二者混合一起談。
